About Us

Hi, I’m Gillian Harris (not Gladrag!) - founder, maker, felting guru, yarn-curator and general head of FLUFF at Gilliangladrag. I’ve been a textile artist for 30+ years, author of several felting books, including currently available “Felting Fabulous Flowers”, designer of all our kits, and occasional teacher of celebrities (yes, I once taught Joey Essex to felt on Sunday Brunch - chaotic, but funny).

We began in 2001 and opened our real-life shop in 2010, first in Dorking and now in Betchworth where we moved to in 2020. With my brilliant team of Elves, we’ve become TEAM FLUFF (see below) - sourcing beautiful yarns, fibres, haberdashery, kits, books and gifts from all over the world.

Where to Find Us

Our colourful Gilliangladrag Fluff-a-torium shop and studio sits in Betchworth, near Dorking in Surrey - just an hour from London. Open online 24/7 and in-store Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays 10-5. (We are shut on Bank Holidays though.) What We Do

We specialise in knitting, crochet, felting, weaving, stitching, sewing, spinning, punch needle and all things textile. We stock mountains of yarn, fibres (including 70+ colours of Merino Wool Tops!), tools, kits, and inspiring bits and bobs to fuel your next handmade adventure.

Studio & Courses

Next door is our bright, joyful studio where we run workshops in felting, knitting, crochet, weaving, sewing, embroidery, dyeing and more. Plus we have loads of free tutorials on our Gilliangaldrag YouTube channel and online courses if you’re further afield.
