Wet Felting Pictures + Needle Felted Details Workshop 16/09/23

Taught by Gillian Harris - author of "Complete Feltmaking"; "Carnival of Felting"; "Felting Fabulous Flowers" and "Easy Stuff to Make with Fluff" - this is the perfect course to learn both Wet Felting AND decorative Needle Felting techniques all in the same day.

Gillian says : "This is one of my favourite felting courses - really allows your imagination to go wild and have some great fun just being creative and learning teachniques, without worrying about shape or form. It's just really enjoyable!"

We will start by wet felting a piece  - this can be anything - abstract or more painterly in style - you really don't have to be artistic - anything will work. You can draw from your own inspirations or pictures, plus I have lots of inspirational ideas here in the studio for you too.

There will also be the opportunity to use some hand dyed wooltops with really amazing variations of tone and colour alongside our regular palette of over 70 different wooltops colours.

The afternoon is then spent adding fine needle felted details onto your work, which add an interesting dimension and depth.
Students often make felted pieces to display as wallhangings, but you could also use the end product as a felt cushion panel or felt table runner perhaps...

Maximum students per felting course is 6 and all courses run from 10am - 4pm.

All felting course materials provided, including drinks, biscuits and terribly British afternoon tea and cake.

Booking a place on one of our courses is similar to booking a seat on a plane. It is not possible to swap and cancel and the "the plane must take off!"
Therefore should you need to cancel your place on a course for any reason, the cancellation charges are as follows:

Cancellation within 31+ days of course date = 50% of course fee payable unless place is re-filled.
Cancellation within 0-30 days of course date = 100% of course fee payable unless place is re-filled.
(Sometimes courses are over subscribed so we hold a waiting list and MAY be able to re-fill a place, but if you are unable to attend you are welcome to send someone in your place. Please let us know your replacement's name, phone number and email address as soon as possible before the course date.)

You can buy separate Course Insurance Cover from various companies online if you would
like to protect yourself against no attendance. (Eg : Cancelsure Insurance)
