Beginners Learn to Weave /Improvers Tapestry Weaving Course 26/10/24 Full Day 10am - 4pm
COST : £120 including weaving loom and yarn to use on the day

{NB: This course is suitable for Improvers as well as Beginners, and Hilary will show and help you with what you'd like to learn.}

Weaving has made a fabulous vibey comeback, allowing you to creating beautiful tapestries that will add a unique twist to home decor, fashion, and accessories with amazing textures and vibrant colors. Plus, it's the ultimate stress-buster of course!

Come and learn with us for the day on our Beginners/Improvers Tapestry Weaving Course at The Gilliangladrag Fluff-a-torium Studio in Betchworth next to our shop, run by our talented and experienced Weaving teacher Hilary Charlesworth - who has appeared on TV with Kirstie Allsop.

This weaving course is suitable for:

• Those that are completely new to weaving or have just dabbled
• Or those that have already had a go and would like to move on a bit with tapestry weaving.

Hilary is great at letting everyone work at their own pace, so you shouldn't worry about your skill level. If you are ready to learn more - you CAN!

Using a simple wooden frame loom (provided and worth £22.95) you will start to create a lovely wall-hanging using a variety of yarns and wool tops (all provided too). You will learn to warp up the loom, plus all the basic stitches of woven tapestry, including hatching and sumac, plus some 3D effects such as tufting and tassles etc if you want to include them!

Please note that our 40cm x 30cm frame loom (pictured) is included in the course fee and you will be working on this loom. If you don't finish your weaving in the day, you will be able take the loom home with your piece still attached.

Maximum students per course is 8 and all courses run from 10am - 4pm.
This is an ADULT course for age 16+ (but children age 14+ may attend if accompanied by another paying adult who is willing to help them a little.)

The cost for this weaving course is £120 including the loom.

Yes! You will also be entitled to 10% discount in our shop "The Fluff-a-torium" on the day of your weaving course! The course finishes at 4pm and the shop shuts at 5pm, plus there's time for shopping at lunchtime too!

Booking a place on one of our courses is similar to booking a seat at the theatre. It is NOT possible to swap and cancel FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER and the "the show must go on". Therefore should you need to cancel your place on a course for any reason, the cancellation charges are as follows: Cancellation within 28+ days of course date = 50% of course fee payable unless place is re-filled. Cancellation within 0-27 days of course date = 100% of course fee payable unless place is re-filled.
Sometimes courses are over subscribed so we hold a waiting list and MAY be able to re-fill a place, but if you are unable to attend you are welcome to send someone in your place. Please let us know your replacement's name, phone number and email address as soon as possible before the course date.
