Sionnach Naturally Hand Dyed DK 100g : Pivoine
Natural dyeing is very different than acid dyeing and Sionnach Yarns use mostly locally foraged plants from and around The Burren, near Galway Bay in Ireland. Once the plants are picked and preserved, the skeins are then transformed and hand dyed into these delectable shades!
Sometimes the acidity of the water or even the plant itself can affect the outcomes - so each skein is truly unique and all the dyeing is done is small batches which can vary from one batch to the next.
Pivoine is dyed using Lac on a DK base of 100% Untreated Merino.
100g gives a 225m length for knitting or crochet and is a double knit. This shade fades very well with the other colour ways.
