Come and learn how to Punch Needle on our new Punch Needle Workshop! Now very much in the limelight and enjoying a revival, Punch Needle is the latest craze...

Create wonderful carpet-like cushions and wallhangings by simply pushing a threaded Punch Needle tool through some special fabric, which holds your stitches in place through tension. Clever stuff! :-) Once you get the hang of it, Punch Needle is faster than sewing, and is very forgiving too. It's easy to create fabulously 'naive' designs, which look like little carpet-y works of art!

On this half day workshop, you will learn how to tension your 'Monks Cloth' fabric; thread and use your special Punch Needle tool; sketch out a pattern, and use all sorts of different yarns to create a simple Punch Needle design in a hoop.

Included are :

  • 6" Embroidery hoop
  • 5mm Wooden Punch Needle Tool
  • Piece of 'Monks Cloth' (special fabric for Punch Needle) to work on to
  • A selection of yarns
  • Tea & Coffee and biscuits
  • 10% off in the shop on the day of your workshop

Maximum 10 spaces available
