Macrame Wallhanging Course : Sat 8th February 10am - 4pm

Come and learn the popular art of Macrame and get knotting! Make your own stylish contemporary wallhanging for your home just in one day. Everything's included!

On our new Macrame Wallhanging course, you will learn how to attach the cord to the dowel rod, and will work on a table top stand specially designed for the job. At the end of the day you will be able to take your newly made Macrame Wallhanging home on the dowel rod. Your wallhanging will measure approximately 35cm wide x 70cm long.

Learn the basic knots, and how to create different areas with different styles, and how to fringe the bottom of the wallhanging.
If you finish your wallhanging Kata will be able to show you some other Macrame knots too :-)

Macrame Course runs 10am - 4pm with approx an hour for lunch.

Taught by Kata Beauchemin, who is a Macrame artist mum of 2, and lives in Surrey. 
She has always loved arts and crafts and turned her passion for macrame into her work! She specialises in wall hangings and earrings, and loves teaching people the art of knotting!

Booking Ts & Cs : Please Read!
Booking a place on one of our courses is similar to booking a seat on a plane. It is not possible to swap and cancel and the "the plane must take off!"
Therefore should you need to cancel your place on a course for any reason, the cancellation charges are as follows: 

Cancellation within 31+ days of course date = 50% of course fee payable unless place is re-filled. 
Cancellation within 0-30 days of course date = 100% of course fee payable unless place is re-filled. 
(Sometimes courses are over subscribed so we hold a waiting list and MAY be able to re-fill a place, but if you are unable to attend you are welcome to send someone in your place. Please let us know your replacement's name, phone number and email address as soon as possible before the course date.)

You can buy separate Course Insurance Cover from various companies online if you would 
like to protect yourself against no attendance. (Eg : Cancelsure Insurance)

Dorking is a lovely market town with lots of interesting shops and restaurants.
Our favourite places to stay that we recommend locally are:

1) The Waltons B&B (walking distance from the shop and in town)
2) Denbies Vineyard B&B (a longer walk or short drive from the shop just out of town in our famous Dorking Vineyard)
3) Stylehurst Farm B&B (6 mile drive away in the Surrey countryside on a farm)
