Prepare for a serious texture-and-colour situation. Our hand-dyed Holy Fluff Silky Bouclé Loop in FunkyTown is a glorious skein of squishy loops, silky softness and completely unapologetic colour.

FunkyTown is one of those colourways that refuses to sit quietly in the corner. We've packed it with bold reds, zingy yellows, brilliant blues and flashes of fresh green, with the colours dancing through the bouclé loops to create a wonderfully lively, painterly effect.

And then there's that texture. Oh, that texture.

Made from 70% Grade A Mulberry Silk and 30% 20.5 micron non-Superwash Merino Wool, this is a seriously special yarn. The silk gives it a beautiful sheen and luxurious softness, while the merino brings warmth and body. The bouclé construction creates all those gorgeous little loops and bumps, giving your finished fabric a wonderfully tactile, almost fluffy character.

Hand dyed by us in our Betchworth studio, each skein is a little work of art in its own right. No two skeins will be identical, so the exact placement of the FunkyTown colours will vary - which is precisely what we love about hand-dyed yarn. You're not buying something that's been churned out to look identical; you're getting your own individual bit of yarny loveliness.

Although it's a 4-ply yarn, the bouclé texture gives it considerably more presence than a conventional smooth 4-ply. Try it on smaller needles for a denser, highly textured fabric, or go up a few sizes for something more open and airy.

It's particularly gorgeous for statement scarves, cowls, hats, textured garments, cushions and throws, or anywhere you want the yarn itself to be the star of the show. Keep the pattern simple and let FunkyTown do the talking. It's very good at talking.
