Rico Essentials Super Super Chunky is a thick, wool-rich yarn that works beautifully with big needles and hooks, making it ideal for cosy accessories and projects where you don't want to spend six months waiting for the first sleeve to appear.

Olive is a wonderfully useful shade for your yarn stash - earthy, understated and easy to pair with all sorts of colours. Use it on its own for a lovely simple project, or team it with brighter shades for stripes, colour blocking or whatever takes your fancy.

This is a 50% virgin wool and 50% acrylic blend, giving you a good combination of woolly warmth and practicality. Each generous 100g ball contains 90 metres of super chunky yarn and is designed for 10-12mm needles or hooks, with a recommended tension of 9 stitches and 12 rows to 10cm.

It's particularly good for accessories such as big cosy scarves, cowls and hats, but it's also lovely for chunky garments and other quick-to-make projects. The yarn is made in Italy and is mulesing-free, and the range has been designed with plenty of colours that can be mixed and matched.
