Meet the Ridge Sweater by Sandnes Garn - a beautifully textured jumper with a relaxed shape, fluffy colour-work and a rather gorgeous combination of warm brown and pale blue. We've put together this knitting pack with the yarn you need to make the sweater in the colourway shown in our main photographs, so you can skip the yarn-matching homework and get straight to the fun bit!

The main body is knitted in Sandnes Peer Gynt, a classic 100% Norwegian wool with lovely stitch definition and a beautifully natural feel. The contrasting pattern is worked in Sandnes Ballerina Chunky Mohair, held double to create those wonderfully fluffy, textured details. The result is a cosy sweater with plenty of character, where the pale blue mohair really pops against the warm, lighter brown background.

A textured sweater in a rather lovely colour combination

The Ridge Sweater is knitted from the top down, starting at the neckline and shaping the yoke with raglan increases. Once the yoke is complete, the stitches are divided for the sleeves, front and back, which are then worked separately. The neckband is finished at the end.

The combination of classic wool and fluffy mohair makes this a satisfying project for knitters who fancy something a little more interesting than a plain jumper. And because it's worked from the top down, you can watch your sweater take shape as you go.

We've kept things simple with one carefully chosen colourway: warm, lighter brown Peer Gynt paired with pale blue Ballerina Chunky Mohair. It's a lovely balance of understated and distinctive, with the fluffy blue pattern adding just the right amount of contrast.

3.5mm and 4mm circular needles in 40cm and 80–100cm cable lengths.
Double-pointed needles in both sizes are optional.

The Ballerina Chunky Mohair is worked with two strands held together for the patterned sections.

The Ridge Sweater pattern is available in sizes XS to 5XL. Please check the finished measurements below before choosing your size, as these are the measurements of the completed sweater rather than your body measurements.

*Finished length includes the neckband. Sleeve length can be adjusted to suit.
