The designer of this knitting pattern was inspired by a desire to design a modern, unexpected take on the classic icelandic sweater, - the resulting Ninilchik Swoncho was her personal dream come true of 'style meets cozy comfort'!

Shape : Sort of a cross between a jumper and a poncho - this jumper pattern has a wonderful drape and 'swing' and looks wonderful styled with jeans.

Use : The shift between seasons can bring some unexpected weather, and layers are an essential part of staying comfortable as the temperature dips and then lifts. This swoncho is as comfy as being wrapped in a blanket, but is more functional thanks to its clever construction and sleeves. This cozy piece will surely be a go-to knit in your closet - you may find yourself reaching for it year-round! Coming in just 2 sizes that fit a wide range of bodies, you may even have to make a few to compensate for the family members who swipe one from under your nose!

One of our Fluffy staff has knitted this jumper using our Scheepjes Terrazzo yarn - which has a fabulous fleck in it, is recycled, and comes in alllllll the colours HERE. The pictures of her sweater are here in the green and blue stripes. Ros knitted up the smaller size and used 5 x balls of the main colour (Cavalletta) and 1.5 balls of the stripe colour (Millennio).

Optional : You will see from the other pattern pics that there is an optional geometric pattern, but you can also knit it up in the Terrazzo plain as well. It's the most wonderful drapey shape!
