How Much Wool Do I Need? - A Rough Guide:

Here are some approximate amounts to help you plan your projects. These are based on our experience, but please allow for variations based on your specific technique and desired density.

Felting:

For a pair of Felt Slippers or a Medium Felt Bag: Depending on size, allow approximately 75g of each colour. For a multi-coloured creation, purchase 3 x 100g bags in different colours for your various felted layers.

Giant Knitting / Giant Crochet:

For a Smaller cushion front (regular size): approximately 500g

For a Large Floor cushion front: approximately 1.75kg

For a Small blanket or throw: approximately 2kg

For a Medium blanket or throw: approximately 3.5kg

For a Larger blanket or throw: approximately 5kg
