Picture this: you, a pair of 9mm circular knitting needles, and a glorious 150g skein of our fab super chunky (+fast growing) hand-dyed Malabrigo Rasta yarn in the most stunning colors you can imagine. Trust me, your winter hat game is about to get a serious upgrade! ;-) Pictured is colourway "Rosalinda"

All you need to get started is just 1 x skein of our hand dyed Malabrigo super chunky Rasta yarn, those trusty 50cm or 60cm x 9mm circular needles, a stitch marker, a pair of scissors, and a wool needle to tidy things up at the end!

Jellinski Hat Free Knitting Pattern :
Instructions:
Cast on 44 stitches (using long tail cast on for extra stretch - see YouYube if you don't know it!) ; place marker and join in the round, taking great care not to twist the stitches!!
Row 1: Purl across row, then :
Knit 5 rows
Purl 3 rows
Knit 4 rows
Purl 3 rowsKnit 4 rows
Purl 3 rowsKnit 4 rows
Purl 3 rowsPiece should measure 6-7" from cast on edge
Decrease:
* P4 p2 tog, repeat from * across row. K2 (33 sts)
(Use “magic loop” method for decreasing if stitches become too tight on your needles - see YouTube for how if not sure!)
*K3, k2 tog, repeat from * across row K2 (30 sts)
*K2, k2 tog, repeat from * across row K2 (23 sts)
*K1, K2 tog, repeat from * across row K2 (16 sts)
*K2 tog Repeat from * across row (8 sts)
Cut yarn, leaving 9” tail and thread tapestry needle, draw needle through remaining 8 sts. Pull tightly, fasten off and then weave in ends. Wear your new warm & cosy Jellinski hat! WOOHOO! xx
