Sajou Cross Stitch Cushion Kit : Diane De Poitiers' Bedroom Cushion

Step back in time and stitch a piece of French history with this exquisite cross stitch cushion kit from Sajou. Inspired by the grandeur of the Chenonceau Château, this project allows you to recreate a detail from Diane de Poitiers' bedroom. Imagine the stories those walls could tell!

As you might know, Chenonceau Château isn't just bricks and mortar; it's a home. Filled with the scent of beeswax, beautiful floral arrangements, and remarkable furniture, it also houses an incredible art collection. This kit draws inspiration from the fabric adorning the four-poster bed in Diane de Poitiers' chambers. As King Henri II's mistress, she frequently received him there. Quite the setting, eh?

More than just a craft project, these kits offer an authentic taste of French textile heritage. Sajou uses only the finest materials, all sourced from France, to ensure a truly special stitching experience.

Kit Details:

The finished motif will measure 185 stitches wide by 130 stitches high. When stitched on 12 count linen (per cm), the finished project will be approximately 30.8 x 21.7cm. The finished cushion size is 31 x 22cm.

What's Included:

  • A full-colour pattern chart, printed on large A3 sheets for easy reading.
  • 35 x 26cm of beautiful Sajou blue linen embroidery fabric.
  • 3 cards of Retors du Nord embroidery floss in colour 2876.
  • 35 x 26cm of 100% cotton "indienne" fabric in blue tones for the cushion backing. (Please note: fabric may vary slightly, but it will always be lovely and complement the design.)

Your kit will arrive beautifully presented in a charming Sajou cardboard box – perfect for storing your project or gifting to a fellow craft enthusiast. It's reusable too.

Please Note: You will need to provide your own needle and cushion pad to complete this project.

This is a fantastic way to learn and remember an iconic era of stitch work, as well as creating something to last.
