We love this pattern because of its simple silhouette, which makes it easy to customise. Plus, a super chunky cardigan is just perfect for keeping you warm and snug. The Mimico Cardigan is knitted from the top down in a raglan style, using circular needles for a seamless and straightforward construction. How brilliant is that?

The pattern uses sizes XS/S, M/L, L/XL, and XXL as a guide, but it’s written in such a way that you can easily adjust it for a truly bespoke fit. The language is straightforward, encouraging you to increase (or not!) as you go, and even to try it on to ensure your custom fit is spot on.

This sweater is knitted in an easy top-down raglan style using circular needles for a seamless construction.

*The sample is shown in Malabrigo Rasta. We recommend using one of the other yarns that we’ve linked above! The Rasta is a 150g skein and used approximately 3.75 skeins for XS/S, approx 4 skeins for (M/L), approx 5 skeins for L/XL, and approximately 5.75 skeins for (XXL). Please note that the amount used may vary depending on your personal gauge.

Needles Required:

• 11 US / 8 mm circulars, 41 cm / 16” around
• 13 US / 9 mm circulars, 41 / 16 cm” around
• 15 US / 12 mm circulars, 61 cm / 24” around
• 19 US / 15 mm circulars, 61 cm / 24” around
• Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn, measuring tape, row counter (optional).

Measurements: XS/S (M/L) (L/XL) (XXL). The model wears (M) for a slightly over-sized fit.
