Our Merino wool boasts a 23 micron / 64s count, ensuring a delightful texture that’s gentle against the skin, making it ideal for creating cosy blankets, cushions, and other homewares. Each 100g bag contains approximately 4-5 metres of this beautiful, inky black wool.

Black as night! Seriously, it's a proper dark colour, in an 'Anti Matter' kind of a way. Perfect for dramatic projects.

Ordering Information:

Need more than 100g? Simply add the required quantity to your basket. For example, if you need 600g, enter "6" in the quantity box before adding to your basket. We’ll get it sorted for you.

If you would prefer your wool in one continuous ball, rather than separate bags, just let us know in the "special instructions" box at checkout. We'll always do our best to accommodate your request, however, occasionally there might be a join in the wool tops. But not to worry, we will include instructions on how to smoothly join it together, particularly helpful if you're using it for giant knitting or crochet.

(For example, if you want 2 kilos of wool, please order 20 lots of 100g, remembering to specify you'd like it in one ball within the "special instructions" section at checkout.)

How Much Wool Tops Do I Need?

Here are some handy guidelines to help you estimate the amount of wool tops you'll need for your next crafting adventure:

Felting:

• For a pair of Felt Slippers or a Medium Felt Bag: Depending on size, you'll need approximately 75g of each of 3 different colours. So, grab 3 of our 100g bags in different shades for creating those gorgeous felted layers.

Giant Knitting / Giant Crochet:

• Smaller cushion front: approximately 500g
• Large Floor cushion front: approximately 1.75kg
• Small blanket or throw: approximately 2kg
• Medium blanket or throw: approximately 3.5kg
• Larger blanket or throw: approximately 5kg
