Navy Wool Tops – the perfect wool fleece for all your feltmaking and spinning adventures! This beautiful merino wool is just waiting to be transformed into something amazing.
Our Navy Merino Wool Tops are made from 23 micron / 64s grade merino, giving it a lovely soft feel. Each 100g bag contains approximately 4-5 metres of this gorgeous fibre, ready for you to work your magic.
In the Navy? This shade is a proper, deep navy, with just a hint of purple. We think it looks particularly smashing when paired with cream for a nautical vibe!
Important Ordering Information:
Need more than 100g? Simply add the number of 100g units you require to your basket. For example, if you need 600g, just pop '6' in the quantity box before clicking "add to basket."
Want your wool in one continuous length? No problem! Just let us know in the “special instructions” box at checkout that you'd prefer one large ball rather than separate bags. We'll do our very best to accommodate your request.
Occasionally, there might be a join in the wool tops. Should this happen, don't worry! We'll include easy-to-follow instructions on how to seamlessly join the ends together, especially handy for giant knitting or giant crochet projects. So, for example, if you need 2 kilos, please buy 20 lots of 100g and tell us in special instructions.
Wool Quantity Guide: Getting Started with your Project
Not sure how much wool you'll need? Here are some general guidelines to get you started:
Felting:
- For a pair of Felt Slippers or a Medium Felt Bag: We recommend approximately 75g of each of three different colours. Grab three 100g bags in your favourite shades to create those lovely felted layers.
Giant Knitting / Giant Crochet:
- Smaller regular sized cushion front: about 500g
- Large Floor cushion front: approx 1.75kg
- Small blanket or throw: approx 2kg
- Medium blanket or throw: approx 3.5kg
- Larger blanket or throw: approx 5kg
