The Frankie Sweater by PetiteKnit is a classic striped raglan jumper with a lovely relaxed fit, making it exactly the sort of knit you can imagine throwing on with absolutely everything. Worked from the top down, it has a simple, wearable shape with narrow stripes running throughout the sweater and sleeves.
The clever bit is in the proportions. Frankie is designed with approximately 20cm of positive ease, giving you that relaxed, comfortable fit without becoming a giant, shapeless jumper. The finished sweater has a neat raglan construction and a gently shaped neckline, while the narrow stripes give the whole thing a lovely bit of character.
And then, of course, there's the colour combination. We've done the hard bit for you and put together five rather gorgeous colourways, in 10 different sizes - so you can simply choose your favourite and get knitting.
Five colourways. One very good sweater.
We've created five Frankie combinations using Sandnes Peer Gynt, a hardwearing 100% Norwegian wool with excellent stitch definition and a lovely natural structure. Each pack contains the quantities required for your chosen size, divided between the main colour and stripe colour, and the PDF pattern which will be emailed to you seperately.

1. September Sky & Velvet Fig
The colour combination shown in our main photographs - a soft, sophisticated blue paired with rich Velvet Fig for the stripes.
2. Light Grey & Pale Grey
A soft tonal pairing of Light Grey with a Pale Grey stripe if you're after something beautifully understated and easy to wear.
3. Cornishware
Regatta Blue with Natural Cream stripes - a classic blue-and-cream combination with unmistakable Cornishware vibes. Very difficult to look at without immediately wanting a mug of tea haha.
4. Midnight Teal & Eucalyptus
Deep Petrol Blue teamed with a fresh Eucalyptus stripe for a lovely blue-green combination with plenty of depth.
5. Marzipan & Pale Green
A gorgeous neutral beige-marzipan with a lovely pale green stripe - keeping things understated and subtle with a lighter overall vibe.
What's included:
Your chosen quantity of Sandnes Peer Gynt in the main and stripe colours for your selected size, plus the Frankie Sweater pattern by PetiteKnit which will be emailed as a PDF within 48-72 hours of you buying your kit.
The yarn quantities are calculated from the pattern requirements, which specify Peer Gynt at 50g per ball with approximately 91 metres per ball.

Frankie is designed with approximately 20cm of positive ease, meaning the finished sweater is intended to measure around 20cm more around the bust than your actual body measurement. We recommend measuring yourself around the fullest part of your upper body before choosing your size.

Finished length is measured mid back. Measurements apply when the specified knitting tension is achieved.
Knitting tension: 20 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10cm in stocking stitch on 4mm needles.
Skill level: Intermediate
Please note: This is a knitting pack kit for making the Frankie Sweater yourself. We are holding a Knit a Jumper Course in 2027 which will be knitting this exact jumper over 4 sessions. If you are paid up for the knit a jumper course you will receive a 10% discount on this pack.
You will need the appropriate knitting needles separately which are :
Circular needles:
4 mm [US6] / 40, 60 and 80 and/or 100 cm [16, 24 and 32 and/or 40 inches]
3.5 mm [US4] / 80 or 100 cm [32 or 40 inches]
Double-pointed needles: 4 mm [US6] and 3.5 mm [US4]
We strongly recommend knitting a tension square before starting so you can check that your gauge matches the pattern.
Frankie is the sort of project that ticks an awful lot of boxes: classic shape, wearable colours, satisfying stripes and a construction that means you can watch the whole thing grow from the neckline down.
