Kid Silk Lace Hand Dyed Yarn 50g : "Little Road to Kerry"

This enchanting skein of "Little Road to Kerry" Kid Silk Lace yarn was originally created as a special treat for our very own Kerry, who brings her sparkle to our shop. It's a proper stunner, with a captivating gradient that's just bursting with character.

Imagine this: a deep, dreamy turquoise that gently melts into a lighter, brighter shade of turquoise. Then, the magic truly happens. It transitions into a sunny yellow, punctuated by peachy bursts and playful fuschia splashes. And just when you think it can't get any better, you'll spot tiny hints of green where the blue and yellow colours meet in the dyeing pot. It's a proper party for your needles!

We reckon this yarn will look absolutely fabulous knitted up. Because the colour distribution is so wonderfully unique, you'll avoid a uniform look and achieve something truly special and individual. A proper work of art, if you ask us!

Hand dyed with love right here in our little studio in Dorking.

The Technical Bits

  • Composition: 72% Kid Mohair, 28% Silk
  • Type: Brushed Skein
  • Weight: 50g
  • Length: Approximately 420m
  • Weight: Lace weight

This lace weight yarn is incredibly versatile. Knit it as a single strand for a delicate, airy fabric, or hold it double for a slightly thicker texture. You could even knit it alongside another yarn to add a touch of luxurious softness and a gorgeous halo.

With its generous meterage, "Little Road to Kerry" is perfect for creating the most incredible projects – think scarves, jumpers, cardigans, and shawls. It really does go a long way, so you can indulge your creativity without worrying about running out!

Please Note: As each skein is lovingly hand-dyed, no two are ever exactly the same. The photograph gives you a good idea of the colours and overall effect you can expect, but your skein will be a unique, one-of-a-kind creation. Embrace the individuality!
