We particularly love knitting this hat using Malabrigo Mechita 100% Merino superwash yarn (pictured here in the 'Pearl' colourway). The hand-dyed nature of this yarn gives each hat a unique and beautiful finish. Alternatively, Scheepjes Metropolis works wonderfully too, offering a delightful range of colours.

This beanie is wonderfully easy to wear and suits all sorts of weather. It features a gently tapering crown with a subtle, pleated flower petal shape, ensuring it isn't too tight. The finishing touch? A super sweet 'little loop' at the very top, crafted from a knitted i-cord. It's these little details that make it so special!

To create your own Little Loop Beanie, you'll need:

• 1 x 100g skein of Malabrigo Mechita (You'll only use about half the skein, leaving you enough to knit a second hat or a matching accessory!) OR 1 x 50g ball of Scheepjes Metropolis
• 1 x pair of 3.25mm circular needles (40cm long)
• 1 x pair of 2.75mm circular needles (40cm long)
• 1 x set of 3.25mm DPNs (Double Pointed Needles - optional, if you prefer the magic loop method. I used them for the i-cord loop)
