Ordering Information:
Need more than 100g? Simply add the number of 100g portions you require to your basket. For example, if you need 600g, pop "6" in the quantity box.
Want your wool in one continuous ball? Just let us know in the "special instructions" box at checkout. We'll do our very best to accommodate your request. While we can't guarantee completely join-free balls, we'll include handy instructions on how to join the wool together seamlessly if needed for your giant knitting or giant crochet creations.
For example, if you fancy a whopping 2 kilos of wool, please order 20 lots of 100g and leave us a note requesting it as one ball.
How Much Wool Do I Need?
Not sure how much wool you'll need for your next masterpiece? Here are a few approximate guidelines to get you started:
Felting:
- For a pair of felt slippers or a medium felt bag: We recommend approximately 75g each of 3 different colours. Grab 3 of our 100g bags in your favourite shades to create stunning layered effects.
Giant Knitting / Giant Crochet:
- For a smaller regular-sized cushion front: about 500g
- For a large floor cushion front: approx 1.75kg
- For a small blanket or throw: approx 2kg
- For a medium blanket or throw: approx 3.5kg
- For a larger blanket or throw: approx 5kg
These are just suggestions, of course, so feel free to adjust the quantities depending on your desired size and thickness.
Happy crafting!
