Rico Soft Alpaca : 021 Taupe

There are some colours that quietly earn their place in every yarn stash, and 021 Taupe is definitely one of them. A soft, understated neutral with just enough warmth to stop it feeling dull, this lovely shade is wonderfully easy to pair with brighter colours or use all on its own.

Rico Soft Alpaca is a beautifully soft, plump yarn with a gorgeous blend of 60% acrylic, 20% alpaca and 20% mulesing-free wool. The alpaca and wool give it a lovely gentle warmth, while the voluminous construction creates beautifully defined stitches and a soft, lightly fluffy finish.

Taupe is one of those wonderfully versatile shades that seems to go with absolutely everything. Think cosy jumpers, timeless cardigans, soft scarves and hats, or use it as the neutral in a colour-work project where you want your brighter shades to really pop.

Although it's designed as a DK weight yarn and works beautifully on 4mm needles, you can also size up to 4.5mm needles and knit it as an aran weight for a chunkier, more relaxed fabric. We love a yarn that gives you options!
