Dive into the rich depths of our Aubergine Merino Wool Tops, perfect for all your crafting dreams! This beautiful wool fleece is ideal for both feltmaking and spinning, offering a luxurious texture and stunning colour.
Each 100g bundle contains approximately 4-5 metres of this gorgeous fibre. With a 23 micron count (64s), it's delightfully soft and easy to work with.
The aubergine shade is a wonderful deep purple, true to its name. It blends exquisitely with dusty mauve and lilac, offering endless possibilities for your colour palettes. We think it's just gorgeous!

Need more than 100g? Simply increase the quantity you require before adding to your basket. For example, if you need 600g, just type "6" in the quantity box.

If you'd prefer your wool in one large ball, rather than separate 100g bags, PLEASE LET US KNOW in the "special instructions" box during checkout. We will always do our best to accommodate this request.
Occasionally, there might be a join in the wool tops. But don't worry! We'll include clear instructions on how to seamlessly join it together, especially useful for giant knitting or giant crochet projects.
For example, if you require 2 kilos of wool, please order 20 lots of 100g and specify in the "special instructions" at checkout that you'd like it in one continuous ball.
How much Wool Tops will I need?
Here are some approximate guidelines to help you plan your project:
Felting:
For a pair of Felt Slippers or a Medium Felt Bag: Depending on the size, you'll need approximately 75g of 3 different colours. Consider purchasing 3 of our 100g bags in complementary shades to create layered felted effects.
Giant Knitting / Giant Crochet:
- Smaller regular sized cushion front: about 500g
- Large Floor cushion front: approx 1.75kg
- Small blanket or throw: approx 2kg
- Medium blanket or throw: approx 3.5kg
- Larger blanket or throw: approx 5kg
