How Much Wool Tops Do I Need?

Here are some handy guidelines to help you estimate how much wool you'll need for your project:

Felting:

For a pair of felt slippers or a medium-sized felt bag, you'll typically need around 75g of each colour (depending on size). So, why not choose 3 of our 100g bags in different shades to create gorgeous felted layers?

Giant Knitting / Giant Crochet:

• Small cushion front: approximately 500g
• Large floor cushion front: approximately 1.75kg
• Small blanket or throw: approximately 2kg
• Medium blanket or throw: approximately 3.5kg
• Large blanket or throw: approximately 5kg
