100g Summer Skies Merino Wool Tops for Felting & Giant Knitting

Dreaming of crafting under a clear blue sky? Our Summer Skies Merino Wool Tops capture that perfect, vibrant hue. Ideal for a range of fibre crafts, including wet felting, needle felting, and spinning, this gorgeous wool will bring your creative visions to life.

Each 100g bundle (approximately 4-5 metres) is made from wonderfully soft 23 micron / 64s Merino wool. The deep sky blue colour is reminiscent of a beautiful summer's day, and we think it complements our Pale Blue and Cornflower shades perfectly for stunning layered felt projects.

Need more than 100g? Simply increase the quantity in the box below before adding to your basket. For example, if you require 600g, enter '6'.

Want your wool in one continuous length? Just let us know in the "special instructions" box at checkout! We'll always do our best to accommodate your request, although please note that occasionally there might be a join in the wool tops. Don't worry; we'll include instructions on how to seamlessly join the wool when using it for giant knitting or crochet.

How Much Wool Do I Need?

Here are some handy guidelines to help you estimate the amount of wool tops you'll need for your next project:

Felting:

• For a pair of Felt Slippers or a Medium Felt Bag: Depending on size, approximately 75g of 3 different colours. Consider purchasing 3 x 100g bags in your chosen colours for distinct felted layers.

Giant Knitting / Giant Crochet:

• Smaller cushion front: approximately 500g
• Large Floor cushion front: approximately 1.75kg
• Small blanket or throw: approximately 2kg
• Medium blanket or throw: approximately 3.5kg
• Large blanket or throw: approximately 5kg
