Please note that the amount of wooltops needed will vary depending on your chosen project. As a very rough guide:
1kg of merino wooltops "yarn" is generally enough for a scarf or a small cushion.
2kg of merino wooltops "yarn" is typically enough for a giant floor cushion front, a small throw, or a small rug.
3kg of merino wooltops "yarn" will create a slightly larger blanket, throw, or rug.
5kg of merino wooltops "yarn" will provide enough material for a large, cosy blanket or throw.
The finished dimensions of your project will vary based on the size of your hook and your crochet tension. I always try to keep my tension as loose as possible, as it allows for more shaping at the end of the project.
Care Instructions:
With a little care, your finished giant crochet or giant knitting project will last beautifully. It can be prone to pilling, but these little bits can simply be pulled off to freshen it up.
If you need to wash your creation, please do so very carefully by hand in cold or lukewarm water to prevent felting.
