This beautiful set of three Liberty patchwork pincushion kits is a brilliant way to try your hand at traditional quilting techniques without committing to a huge quilt. Each pincushion is small enough to be satisfyingly quick to make, but packed with clever little details and gorgeous fabric.

You'll make three different designs, each introducing a different technique. Try English Paper Piecing (EPP) to create the pretty hexagon flower, have a go at patchworking the star design, then finish with the classic log cabin quilt block. The techniques are simple and beautifully explained, making these bite-sized projects a great introduction to patchwork and quilting.

And of course, the finished pincushions are actually useful. Pop them in your sewing box, keep one beside the sewing machine, or make a set to give to a fellow stitcher. Although we're not promising you won't become slightly obsessed with making them.

The kit contains all the Liberty fabric needed to make all three pincushions, plus patterns and fully illustrated instructions. Just add your sewing machine, needle, thread and a little bit of time.
