A little bit of colour, a whole lot of softness. Rico Baby Dream DK Uni in 034 Romantic Spray is a gorgeous baby yarn with gentle colour changes that do all the hard work for you, creating lovely subtle gradients as you knit.
Part of Rico's A Luxury Touch range, Baby Dream DK is wonderfully soft and has a smooth, cosy feel that makes it perfect for tiny cardigans, jumpers, hats, blankets and other baby-sized treasures. The Romantic Spray colourway brings together pretty changing shades for a finished fabric that's full of colour and interest without needing to juggle lots of different balls of yarn. Marvellous stuff.
It's also reassuringly practical. Made from a 50% polyacrylic and 50% polyamide blend, Baby Dream DK is easy to care for and can be gently machine washed at 30°C. Because baby clothes have a habit of encountering mysterious spills, splashes and sticky fingers, and we rather like our handmade knits to survive the experience.
With 115 metres per 50g ball, this DK weight yarn knits beautifully on 3.5-4mm needles and has a tension of 22 stitches and 28 rows to 10 x 10cm. The lovely colour gradients make it especially effective for simple patterns where you can let the yarn take centre stage.
