Here comes Autumn Sun - a brand new colourway of one of our favourite easy-going chunky yarns. Rico Creative Melange Chunky does the clever colour-changing for you, gradually moving from one shade into the next as you knit or crochet. The result is lovely shifting stripes and colour changes without having to juggle several balls of yarn. Hooray for that!
A Cosy Chunky With Plenty of Colour
Autumn Sun 084 has all the feel of the season in its name, with those warm, changing shades making it a particularly tempting choice for autumn and winter projects. The gradual colour changes mean even a simple stocking stitch or basic crochet pattern gets plenty of interest, while the chunky weight means your project grows satisfyingly quickly.
Creative Melange Chunky is made from 53% virgin wool and 47% acrylic, giving you a lovely combination of woolly warmth and practical acrylic. Each 50g ball contains 85 metres of yarn and is designed for 6-7mm knitting needles or crochet hooks, with a tension of 14 stitches and 19 rows to 10cm.
It’s a great choice for cosy clothing and accessories, including hats, scarves, ponchos and other chunky makes. And because the colour changes happen as you work, there’s always that little bit of "ooh, what's coming next?" as you reach the next section of the ball.
