Rico Fashion Wool Alpaca Landscape - 001 Earthy Colours
A little ball with a lot going on. Fashion Wool Alpaca Landscape is one of those yarns where the colour does much of the hard work for you, gently shifting through earthy, natural shades as you knit. It creates a lovely landscape effect in your fabric, with colours blending and changing without the need for complicated colourwork.
A Beautiful Blend of Wool and Alpaca
Made from 45% wool, 29% alpaca, 25% polyamide and 1% elastane, this is a lovely combination of natural fibres with a little added strength and stretch. The alpaca brings softness and warmth, while the wool gives the yarn its lovely woolly character.
Colour 001 Earthy Colours is a wonderfully natural palette of grounded, subtle shades that will sit beautifully together as you work. The gently changing colours make even straightforward stocking stitch look interesting, while textured stitches, cables and simple patterns give the shifting shades even more to play with.
Tiny Ball, Surprisingly Long Journey
Each ball contains just 25g, but don't let that fool you - there's a generous 170 metres tucked inside. That's an awful lot of yarn in a very small package! It's a fine yarn designed for 3.5mm needles, with a recommended tension of 28 stitches and 50 rows to 10cm.
It's lovely for lightweight jumpers, cardigans, scarves and other garments and accessories where you want softness, colour and a beautiful drape without lots of bulk. And because the colour changes are built into the yarn, you can simply knit or crochet and watch your little landscape appear.
We think this is particularly good for those projects where you want the finished fabric to have plenty of personality without having to spend your evenings changing colours and weaving in ends. Let the yarn do the scenic route.
