The design features the magnificent floral motif known as "gros de Tours" - a sumptuous taffeta scattered with flowers, ribbons and peacock feathers, often referred to as The Queen's Brocade. Originally woven in Lyon by the Desfarges Brothers, the fabric was dispersed after the French Revolution before being painstakingly recreated in the twentieth century. The elegant rose and lilac borders set against a fresh apple green background add another layer of charm, framing the design beautifully on both sides of the fabric.
