Sandnes Peer Gynt in Regatta Blue 6044 is a rich, classic blue that's got plenty of personality without being difficult to wear. It's the sort of colour that works beautifully as the star of the show in a whole jumper or cardigan, but is equally useful for stripes, colourwork and contrasting details.
Peer Gynt is a 100% Norwegian wool yarn with a lovely natural structure, excellent stitch definition and plenty of warmth. It's a particularly good choice for garments because Norwegian wool is naturally resilient and has good elasticity, helping knitted pieces hold their shape over time. Peer Gynt has been a Sandnes classic since 1938, so this is a yarn with a rather impressive track record!
We love it for proper everyday knitting - cosy jumpers, cardigans, hats, mittens and other accessories that are made to be worn rather than simply admired. Regatta Blue is also a brilliant shade for colourwork, where its depth gives other colours something lovely to bounce off.
