Fancy crafting your own quirky shoal of woolly sardines? Our Queen Sardine Needle Felting Kit makes it easy to create these adorable little fish in just a few hours by needle felting wool tops together!
These sardines are the very same ones I used in my 'Mexican Nichos' Sardine Tin Tutorial on Youtube (as broadcast on the 17th of January), so you can follow along and create your own delightful tin display.
Whether you're a complete novice or already familiar with the joys of needle felting – forgive the pun – this kit is perfect. You'll be pushing those felting needles in and out of the wool tops, matting the fibres together to form a lovely, dense felt. The result is a beautifully sculpted sardine ready for embellishment.
Once your sardines are complete, you can get creative! Why not hang your shoal as a charming mobile? Or perhaps use them to create miniature sardine tin "nichos." You could even frame them, mounting them proudly on little pins to give them a unique, three-dimensional effect.

Each sardine will be approximately 8cm long, but feel free to experiment with different sizes. With the amount of wool tops provided, you should be able to create at least 6 sardines at the standard 8cm length.
For the best results, we recommend working on a piece of foam.
Important Safety Note: Needle felting is not suitable for children. The felting needles are extremely sharp, so please exercise caution and keep them out of the reach of little ones.
