Isn't this pattern just gorgeous? Several of our team here have knitted this lovely sweater, using our Soft Merino Aran held together with our Kid Silk – the result is simply wonderful to wear, so soft and cosy!
The Sunday Sweater is knitted from the top down. The yoke is worked in the round using a rib stitch, shaped with increases. The body and sleeves are knitted in stocking stitch and finished with rib edges. The sleeves are designed to be long, widening towards the cuff with gentle increases. The neck edge is knitted together to create a neat folded edge before the yoke is started. Alternatively, you can fold it over and sew it to the inside of the sweater at the end.

This pattern uses a Bulky / 12 ply yarn. We think our:

The Sunday Sweater is designed with approximately 10-15 cm [4-6 inches] of positive ease, meaning it’s designed to be 10-15 cm [4-6 inches] larger than your widest upper body measurement.
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ inches].
To choose the right size, measure your bust (or the widest part of your upper body). For example, if you measure 94 cm [37 inches], you should knit a size M. A size M sweater has a finished circumference of 106 cm [41¾ inches], providing 12 cm [4¾ inches] of positive ease.

Gauge: 14 stitches x 20 rows in stocking stitch on 7 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches], after blocking.
Needles Required
- Circular needles: 6 mm [US10] / 40 and 80 cm [16 and 32 inches], 7 mm / 40, 60 and 80 and/or 100 cm [14, 24 and 32 and/or 40 inches]
- Double-pointed needles: 5 mm [US8] and 7 mm
